Breakfast & Bible Study -
This fall we will be studying Colossians. Our time together will be based upon Colossians 3:16, "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God." We meet on the third Saturday of every month, beginning with breakfast and a time of fellowship, followed by reading God's Word together. Depending on the month, we may also share communion, break into small groups for discussion and prayer, or spend time in worship. Our next meeting is September 19th @ 8:00 am.
We do not provide childcare, but nursing infants are always welcome.
Book Club -
We are starting a book club that will meet quarterly to discuss books that encourage us to grow closer to God and support one another in our Christian walk.
Our first book will be "Another Gospel?" by Alisa Childers. It is available from Amazon, Christian Book Distributors, and ThriftBooks, as well as on Audible for those who prefer to listen. The book follows Alisa's intellectual journey as she wrestles with questions that challenge the core of her faith and describes how she ultimately rebuilds a solid foundation.
If you are interested in joining, please read the book and let me know. We will meet at my home on August 20th @ 6:30 pm. As you read or listen, please jot down three things you would like to discuss - such as questions, specific takeaways, or something new you learned.
